Sleeping on the Stairway
Note- I began with this picture for inspiration and wrote a poem from there.
Young boy, who's sleeping there,
Young boy, this isn't fair,
Why should you sleep on the stair,
Is it your family that don't care?
Then if so, why oh why,
Would they let you sleep up so high,
It's dirty and dangerous where you lie,
Young boy, stop, please don't cry!
Please don't worry, it will be okay,
Believe me, tomorrow is a brighter day,
So I leave, go home and then I pray,
About the young boy sleeping on the stairway.
